Today I'm in the process of moving my website to a different host. I am also playing around with WordPress, so I may or may not convert to that. It was a great experience writing my own blog from scratch. I worked out lots of fun features, like articles, comments, tag cloud, archives, and RSS feeds. I even came up with multi-user capabilities, so my brother and cousins can have their own blogs on MrAndMrsKraus.com, with the ability to set their own settings and customize the look of their bl... [More]

This is just a quick note to remind everyone of the obvious. It is way too early for this girl to be in the bottom 3. She's more like top 3.

Last week was Mrs. Kraus' 25th birthday, so I threw her a surprise party. She had a test that evening and was due home about 7:30pm, so I had the perfect opportunity to load the apartment with friends and family after dinner. People started showing up around 6:45. We had fun playing Wii Fit and Mario Kart and chatting until about 7:15 when Mrs. Kraus called to let me know she was on her way home. I went down to the parking lot and hid so I could see when her car drove into the lot. When it ... [More]

Barack Obama became our 44th president today. I'm feeling really excited about it all. I'm looking forward to seeing what this man can accomplish, and what he can inspire the American people to do. When he speaks, I just get the feeling that everything is going to be alright, that even though times are tougher right now, brighter days are ahead. I really hope that's right.

I thought it was cool that Rick Warren led the prayer today. He did a good job, and I always like when someone ackno... [More]

My buddy just got Fallout 3 and so I have been considering picking it up with some Best Buy gift cards I got for Christmas. Sometimes when I'm trying to make a decision about whether to buy a game, I watch videos on IGN.com. I found the following videos and it looks pretty cool. One of the things people are saying about the game is it has the best weapons of any game, perhaps ever. You decide:

What's Up Adam?

As I was leaving band practice Thursday night I heard a voice from across the parking lot, "Hey Kraus! Your last blog is about the Minnesota Twins! What's the deal??" I guess I just don't have much new to talk about these days. Life has kind of worked itself into a nice groove and I have no complaints. But I suppose I could work up a series of random thoughts for my buddy Adam (and my 3 other readers...).

First let's talk about the elephant in the room: my last article titled "The Joy of Being a Twins Fan". Well, we all know they went on to miss the playoffs by one run, losing the tiebreaker game with the White Sox 0-1. I stand by my claim from the previous article. I really love being a Twins fan, win or lose.

OK, so what is this article going to be about? A coin toss. Because, in my opinion, that was the deciding factor in who got in. Sure, either team could potentially beat the other ... [More]

Wow. Last night was probably one of the greatest Baseball games I have watched in quite some time. Down 1-6, the Minnesota Twins came back to win the game 7-6 in 10 innings at the Metrodome, which completed their three-game sweep of the rival Chicago White Sox. Fantastic. What's more, the Twins were behind the White Sox by 2.5 games going into this series. The Twins are now in first place in the division by a half game, with just 3 games left in the season.

I first started watching the T... [More]

This weekend was a lot of fun. We started out by going to the new church to help construct the new lighting and hang the lights. About 40 volunteers showed up so we got a ton done. After that we had Chris and Sarah over to watch a movie. We watched "License to Wed" which had a few very funny moments and overall was a decent movie.

Saturday we slept in late and I played some computer games in the afternoon. We went to "B-Dubs" that night for dinner. Sunday morning, Mrs. Kraus and I were ... [More]

I don't know what it is with my brother's high school friends. A few years back one of them appeared on Conan O'Brien. Now, another one has appeared on David Letterman. As a matter of fact, all of these guys were in a band together called "Up With Children". The band may not have made it big, but the members are slowly finding at least a small amount of stardom. I present to you... Mike "Todd" Leech:
