He is missing that finger which makes him all the more amazing! I too saw him play live in a church in South Florida, and felt the presence of the Lord through his music. Check out his "Way Back Home" album to hear the title track, where he sings about how he lost that finger.

Jesus be praised!

Hi, Chad.

I found your website on your linked in profile. This is the first time I've ever read your blog. good thing I happened on it the day after you wrote this article asking for feedback.

I have two comments.

1. It is of course up to you, but I would keep writing your blog even if no one reads it. One reason is that, someone may find it helpful if they come across one of your articles in a Google search. Another reason is that, it is a good practice to right on a regular basis. It helps you become a better writer, which is a good thing for many areas of life, particularly your carrier. Also, it helps you learn and assimilate information when you write about it, explain it, and discuss it on paper (or online in this case). I should be taking my own advice here. I have a blog that I have not looked at in a couple of years. I wish I was already in the habit of updating it often like you are. Maybe I will start.

2. I recently heard a good idea on getting feedback from readers of your online content. Always end with a question to your readers. Ask them to put their answer in the comments. Another tactic, if you want, is to ask a controversial question, such as "which is better, Mac or PC?". Of course, this usually get's people irritated.

Hey Chad, I read all your articles because they pop up in my Google Reader. I usually click on the link to read at your site. I always enjoy your movie reviews. You should do that more often. Have you seen Avatar yet?

My sentiments exactly, Chad. This is an excellent review. I give it four stars (the review, not the movie). I ,too, longed for someone to care about in this film. I think the Wikus character comes closest, because he seemed to be a likable nincompoop who was duped into doing the evil deed of moving the prawns out of Johannesburg. I can blame his seeming zeal for the task on wanting to prove his worth to his father-in-law. All this is a lengthy way to say "It isn't easy to find a hero in this film".

One positive I will grant this film is its intelligence. I thought it was an intricate and thought provoking plot. I am amazed at my almost instant desensitization when it came to ordinary people getting turned inside out by alien weapons, though. After awhile it felt like watching "Man getting hit in the groin by football" and I felt a bit bad about myself.

Good Weird Sick Smart Violent Careless Movie
