Inauguration Day 2009

Written January 20, 2009 9:53 pm by Chad Kraus

Barack Obama became our 44th president today. I’m feeling really excited about it all. I’m looking forward to seeing what this man can accomplish, and what he can inspire the American people to do. When he speaks, I just get the feeling that everything is going to be alright, that even though times are tougher right now, brighter days are ahead. I really hope that’s right.

I thought it was cool that Rick Warren led the prayer today. He did a good job, and I always like when someone acknowledges Jesus in front of a huge crowd. And Rick sure did that, in about 7 different languages.

I like the “First Family”. Barack’s kids seem so well-behaved, and watching the President and the first lady dance is like watching a new married couple in love. That’s kinda nice. I hope it’s inspiring to couples all over America.

Well, just thought I’d throw my 2 cents in. Man, I went back and forth so many times on who to vote for President because I thought either one would be good. My Republican background took over, and I voted for John, but you know… I’m pretty optimistic about Barack.
