Who Should You Vote For?

Written January 18, 2008 11:39 pm by Chad Kraus

We’ve all heard of Match.com and eHarmony. These sites ask singles to answer a few questions about themselves, and then tell them who they should date. Well now there is a website that uses a similar concept to help you determine which 2008 presidential candidate you should vote for.

What issues do you care about? This site asks you to rank the major political issues. You add more points to the ones you care about and then answer a series of questions related to those issues. Then when you are all done, the site calculates who you should vote for based on compatibility. You can try it: glassboth.org

I was surprised by the results when I did it. I’ve always considered myself VERY Republican. But when I really thought about the issues that are important to me, I came up with an interesting list that seems more moderate. They are environment and energy, education, taxes and the budget, and civil liberties and domestic security. My top match was a 76% match… Barack Obama. Second place was a tie between Mitt Romney and Hillary Clinton at 73%. Gotta say, didn’t see that one coming!

So, I am EXPECTING comments on this article. You can add comments by clicking the link at the bottom of this article. What are your results, and did they surprise you? I know my brother has something to say about my results, so come on bro let’s hear it.

While most people leave comments pertaining to the articles, my brother appears to be solely inspired by the Google ads…

The banner ad on your site was trying to persuade me to “Find an Asian Wife”… what is that about? I think this website is a cover for something else. Besides… the link didn’t even work.

You did not just say that… This is the part where I say, “The views expressed in the comments do not necessarily reflect the views of Mr. and Mrs. Kraus…”

I took the test again, and spread my points equally across more issues, just leaving out the ones that I really don’t have much opinion on. I got the same result…
